Mr. Borak represents national mortgage lenders in a variety of multifamily real estate financing transactions, focusing primarily on loans to be purchased under Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac programs. His practice traverses a variety of different financing structures, including conventional loans, bridge loans, mezzanine financing, and assumptions.  Increasingly, Mr. Borak has focused on affordable housing transactions that feature project-based HAP contracts, 4% and 9% LIHTC, multi-layered subordinate debt, state and local tax exemptions, and cash-collateralized bond issuance.

Prior to joining the firm as an associate, Mr. Borak worked as a paralegal at Krooth & Altman, volunteered with nonprofit housing developer Manna, Inc., and spent a summer working on HUD-insured affordable housing transactions with the firm Klein Hornig LLP.
