Bio

Mr. Shafer represents mortgage lenders in the origination, sale, and servicing of loans.  His practice focuses primarily on loans which will be purchased by Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac.  Travis’ expertise encompasses both market rate and affordable transactions, including finance assumptions, funded and unfunded forward commitments, low-income housing tax credit projects, historic tax credit projects, bond financing, subordinate financing, ground lease and lease-back structures, tax exemptions, rehabilitation projects, and master lease transactions structured for Delaware Statutory Trust borrowers.

Prior to joining Krooth & Altman LLP in 2015, Travis served as an Intern with the Supreme Court of Delaware.  Travis began acting for mortgage lenders as a Law Clerk and Project Manager on multifamily transactions in 2012.
